High Frontier version 0.14

We are steadily (if not always speedily) making progress on High Frontier!  The latest version of the game, 0.14, has just been posted.  And it’s a great one.For starters, the population growth model is now tied to available buildings — and building development is tied to population growth.  Your residents need jobs and housing, and so it’s up to you to use the zoning tools to ensure they have plenty of each.

This release also has some new buildings, including a variety of farms, an elementary school, and a playground.  Here’s a screen shot showing some farms, which develop in agricultural zones:

Just be sure to make your agricultural zones are big and open; farms need a lot of room!

You’ll also notice this nifty new options screen:

This lets us finally do away with that ugly Unity configuration dialog, and provides an easy in-game way to adjust your display resolution or key bindings.

If all this is news to you, that means you’re not reading the High Frontier Forums.  And unless your handle is Timpraetor, you’re definitely not participating in them.  Why the heck not?!?  We’re a community of people all excited about space or gaming or space-gaming.  Please stop on by, create an account, and say hello in the Welcome forum.  We’d really love to hear from you.
